I had the honor of capturing sweet baby Theo's newborn session!

Newborn sessions are always special, but there's something particularly meaningful about capturing a family in those first tender days together. The exhaustion mixed with pure joy. The gentle touches.

This Thanksgiving, I'm reflecting on what truly matters and it's not just the turkey and pie (though let's be honest, those are pretty great too). 🧡

This year has been full of incredible moments. From capturing the stories of amazing clients who trust me with their brand visions, to the quiet mornings at home with my favorite crew, I'm reminded daily how blessed I am.

Grateful for:
✨ Every client who lets me into their world and trusts me to tell their story
✨ This beautiful Greenville community that continues to support and inspire me
✨ The creative journey that challenges me to grow every single day
✨ My husband, our pups, and the life we're building together
✨ The opportunity to do work that fills my cup and helps others shine

Photography has taught me that the best moments aren't always the perfectly posed ones but the real, messy, beautiful in-between moments. The laughter during a session. The nervous excitement before a brand launch. The quiet confidence that comes from seeing yourself through a new lens.

Had such a great conversation on the .lions podcast with Spencer about work-life balance. 🎙️

I used to grind nonstop, doing anything, anytime, for anyone. But I've learned that blocking off time to actually be a human being isn't a luxury, it's necessary.

Now I protect Mondays for editing, emails, walking my dog, and yoga. It's not about doing less work. It's about showing up better for my clients and myself.

This has been an incredibly busy season for Chelsey Ashford Photography and I am so thankful for long term clients like !

Seven years. That’s how long I’ve had the honor of capturing this beautiful family’s memories. From little ones who could barely sit still to the amazing kids they are today, I’ve watched them grow, laugh, and create the sweetest moments together.

When she said “there’s no one else I would choose to capture our family’s memories,” my heart just about burst. THIS is why I do what I do. It’s not just about the photos, it’s about the trust, the relationship, the way we’ve created a tradition together that makes every holiday season feel special.
