Like many of you, I've been having trouble finding the words to say as people are being murdered on the street and families are being ripped apart and it feels like the whole world is burning down around us. It feels unreal to keep having to go about daily activities and run a business while also trying to protest fascism and process all of this horrific trauma.
I've been pretty quiet on this account for the last year as I've dealt with my own health issues and tried to decide what direction to pivot this business in. If you've been around for awhile, you probably know where I stand on these issues, but I want to make things perfectly clear.
Bespoke & Beloved Events exists in an industry built entirely around the celebration of love. My work is rooted in creating wedding days where couples and their guests feel safe, relaxed, and fully able to show up as their authentic selves. But beautiful weddings don’t exist in a vacuum. They exist within a world shaped by systems, policies, and beliefs that directly impact who feels welcome, who feels safe, and who is allowed to be seen.
Because of that, I believe deeply that love must be protected, affirmed, and allowed to exist freely—in all its forms. I will always stand with those whose love and very existence are treated as political problems. I will always stand against hate.
At Bespoke & Beloved Events, I believe:
Love is love, and love wins.
Trans and LGBTQ+ rights are human rights.
Gender is a social construct.
All bodies are worthy of respect and care.
Black lives matter.
No human being is illegal.
Families deserve to stay together.
Healthcare is a human right.
Science is real.
Art is resistance.
Children deserve classrooms and communities safe from gun violence.
Freedom, dignity, and self-expression are not privileges—they are rights.
These values are not separate from my business. They are the foundation of it.
Every couple deserves to feel seen, affirmed, and celebrated exactly as they are, and I am committed to creating a space where that is always true.
