Yinz showed up, showed out, and kept us running all night. Huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, grabbed dinner, and spent their Friday with us. We appreciate every single one of yinz. ❤️

Now for the important announcement...

🚨 GREENSBURG, ARE YINZ STILL ALIVE?! 🚨

It's been MONTHS since we've been in GBG. At this point we're pretty sure some of yinz thought we moved, retired, or got lost chasing a brisket somewhere down Route 30.

Well good news...

📍 Tomorrow we'll be at Christ Our Shepherd Center 2900 Seminary Drive Greensburg, PA 15601

🕐 1 PM - 7 PM

We're joining the Diocese of Greensburg's Diamond Jubilee Summer Celebration, and we'd love to see some familiar faces.

So if you've been sending us messages like: ❓"When are yinz coming back to Greensburg?" ❓"Did you quit?" ❓"Are you still alive?"

Tomorrow is your chance to verify that we are, in fact, still here... and still smoking meat. 😂

Come hungry. Bring friends. Tell your church friends. Tell your non-church friends. Tell that one person who's been asking where the food truck disappeared to.

We'll be the giant smoker trailer surrounded by the smell of poor financial decisions and delicious barbecue.

Alright yinz, we wanted to give everyone a quick heads up before tomorrow.

After fighting it as long as we possibly could, we finally had to make a few menu price adjustments. We didn't change everything, but if it's got meat on it, there's a pretty good chance it went up a little.

Truth is, the cost of meat is higher than it's ever been, and between supplies, packaging, fuel, and all the other fun stuff that comes with running a food truck, we couldn't keep pretending it's still 2023. Trust us, we tried. 😂

We've also made the switch to almost entirely sustainable packaging. It costs us a little more, but it's something we felt was worth doing.

While we were updating the menu, we also made it easier to spot our gluten-friendly options. We've been getting more and more questions about them, so now yinz don't have to play detective while standing at the window.

One thing that is NOT changing? Everything is still à la carte. We're keeping it that way so the line keeps moving faster than a Pittsburgher merging when they finally see an opening. Build your meal however yinz want and we'll keep slinging BBQ as fast as we can.

The good news is nothing about the food is changing. Same portions. Same quality. Same meats spending all night in the smoker while Bsue is awake wondering why she chose a career that starts before the birds wake up. Just kidding, she loves it ❤️

We know nobody likes hearing about price increases. Heckkk, we don't like making them. But we appreciate every one of yinz who keeps showing up, sharing our posts, bringing your friends, and supporting our little BBQ dream.

Now quit reading and go stare at the new menu like it's construction on Route 30. 🐷❤️

Sappy post straight from the chef herself. You’ve been warned. 😂

Most of yinz know I don't do what I do for awards, titles, or recognition. If you know me, you know I am genuinely food obsessed. Feeding people is not just my job, it is constantly my next thought. I genuinely love it.

I've been a chef for going on 17 years now, which means at this point, I've been doing this longer than I haven't in my life. And now High On The Hog is working on its third season, which still feels absolutely wild to say.

I love being part of your birthdays, graduations, weddings, fundraisers, first dates, celebrations, and sometimes even the days when life isn't so kind.

Over the years, I've had people tell me our food brought back memories of a parent or grandparent they've lost. I've had people cry at my serving window. We're starting to watch kids grow up through our food, and there are a handful of little regulars I genuinely can't wait to see every time we open the window. Watching people and families grow right in front of us is something I never expected, but it means more than I can explain.
I've made friendships that started with a pulled pork sandwich and somehow turned into family.
So when I found out I made it the running for Favorite Chef, my first reaction was honestly, "There is absolutely no way."

My hopes of actually winning are pretty low. There are so many talented chefs out there, and I know that, but if High On The Hog has ever touched your heart, made a rough day a little better, helped celebrate a special moment, or maybe just added a few inches to your love handles... 😂🐷

We’re kicking off June with some of our favorite spots AND adding a couple new stops to the HOTH map, including All Saints Brewing and Helltown Brewing! So yes, this month is bringing BBQ, beer, summer nights, and good vibes! We’ve got breweries, markets, familiar favorites, and a few new places.

Check the calendar before trying to find us — if there’s a tiny green pig holding an OUT OF TAHN sign, that means we are OFF because even the hogs need some down before we fully turn into brisket-scented goblins!
