I always say that when you work in one art discipline, it’s beneficial to try another….

As a florist, I’m used to creating with beauty that already exists, but I wanted to try creating from a blank page, so I picked up a brush.

I’ve been wanting to learn watercolor painting for YEARS and this winter I finally signed myself up for an 8 week course at the local community college. I’ve been asking the instructor every week to paint flowers and last night I finally got the opportunity!

Are they good… not at all… but it’s a start. One of my favorite quotes I try to remember is - “every expert was once a beginner.” I don’t ever plan to be considered an expert because art is forever evolving, but I’m excited to see where this leads. 🎨

Shout out to one of my past brides .raegan.schick with .coffee.company on opening their new cafe! Truly so happy for you, Syd, and the Groove team! 👏

I made a floral arrangement based on one of their spring drink specials, the lavender vanilla bean matcha! Complete with all the best spring flowers - tulips, hyacinths, hellebores, & more, and topped it off with fresh English lavender 💜

The design of the cafe was beautiful and the food and drinks were AMAZING!

This week was the soft opening and the grand opening is tomorrow! Stop by soon and check it out!
