One of my favorite parts of a wedding is seeing the bride walk down the aisle. A new chapter in her life is opening up and her future has endless possibilities of being absolutely wonderful. I truly feel so very thankful, grateful, and blessed to be part of this split second in time. Sam chose both parents to es**rt her down the aisle. What a special gesture!

Tips for a dog friendly wedding!

1. Make sure your venue is pup-friendly. Get the lowdown on the rules and regulations so you can avoid any unwanted surprises.
2. Give your dog a special title like “Dog of Honor.” Have them walk down the aisle with someone in the bridal party.
3. Designate a reliable person to take care of your dog throughout the day.
4. Plan a quiet space for them to relax.
5. Dress them up! A bowtie, bandana, or flower crown are great choices.

A passion for weddings

From the time I was a little girl, I have LOVED weddings! I cherish fond memories of my twin brother and younger sisters (also twins!) playing “”wedding.” One sister would be the bridesmaid while the other sister was the flower girl. Of course, I was the bride! Wearing my mom’s nylon night gown, I created the perfect veil by bobby pinning a lace tablecloth to my head. With a large bouquet of artificial flowers clutched in my hands, I made my grand entrance out of the kitchen. As we all hummed the famous “Here Comes The Bride” music, I slowly walked down the s**g carpet aisle toward my invisible awaiting groom. My brother, “the preacher,” was then cued by me to say his rehearsed lines starting the marriage ceremony. As he looked at my invisible soon-to-be husband, he would say, “I know you do not want to get married today” and chuckle, knowing I would be mad because he was “not doing it right.” In frustration, I would announce, “We’re starting over!” as I pointed back down the aisle. I took playing “wedding” very seriously.
