Glass Delirium farewell show - March 10th at the Gothic Theatre
All good things eventually come to an end, and we have reached that moment for Glass Delirium. We’ve been a band for almost a decade, and it’s been an incredible and indescribable journey for us. We do have to face the music though. Things have slowed down for us over the last few years. Instead of fading out, we’ve decided to go out with a bang and throw one last huge show at the Gothic Theatre.
I wish we could give you a more dramatic break-up story like “Aeon hated playing the Journey cover, so she kicked Scott in the balls at the last practice, and Michelle defended her actions, and Sarah said that was racist towards balls, and Pat was jealous that he didn’t get kicked in the balls… and so the band is breaking up because we can’t agree on the proper way to handle ball-kicking.” The truth is we are all still great friends, and will continue to be friends after this farewell show is over. It’s just time for us to close this chapter in our lives and start the next one. We are all incredibly grateful for the opportunities this band has given us. It’s been a beautiful ride, and we have so many memories that we will remember for many years to come.
Out of all the venues we’ve played at, we probably played at the Gothic Theatre the most. It’s very fitting that our final show would be there, and we are incredibly thankful to the Gothic Theatre for letting us close this chapter at their incredible venue. We will be playing an extra long set (including songs we haven’t played in years). We will also be bringing back some prior members of the band for a few tracks, and we have hired DENVER SPECIAL FX to put on a production that none of us will forget. Our good friends in Scarlet Canary, Something For Tomorrow, and Anchors Affliction will be opening the night for us. All of those bands have band members who have been there for GD since the beginning, and we are honored to share the stage with them one last time.
We’d love to see all of your beautiful faces, and hear you sing along with us one last time. We can’t thank you enough for the love and support you gave us over the years. We are truly grateful for all of you!
