It feels like just yesterday… ❤️

My husband was standing in this very spot, building these shelves and helping me turn an empty little space into Victoria’s Floral.

And today… he was taking them down.

Almost 2½ years of flowers, plants, gifts, late nights, big dreams, little victories, and so many memories have happened on this wall.

It’s a little strange seeing it empty. 🥹

💐 And just like that… Homecoming 2026 is officially in the books! 💐

Thank you to every single person who trusted Victoria’s Floral with their Homecoming flowers this year. We are beyond grateful for every order, every referral, every kind word, and every person who walked through our doors.

A HUGE thank-you to my amazing employees and our little team who worked their hearts out alongside me. There were several days when we arrived as early as 7 AM and worked well into the early morning hours — sometimes until 3:30 AM — making sure every flower was fresh, every detail was perfect, and every order was ready when you arrived. 🌸

Was it exhausting? Absolutely. 😂
Was it worth it? Without a doubt!

Some of my favorite moments were watching the students come through our doors completely amazed by the flowers we carry, and then seeing their faces light up when they saw what we created just for them. Those genuine “WOW!” reactions are something I’ll remember for a long time. ❤️

We hope you loved your flowers as much as we loved creating them, and we hope everyone had an absolutely wonderful, happy, and SAFE Homecoming! ✨

💐 HOMECOMING WEEKEND IS HERE! 💐

And honestly… we couldn’t be more excited, thankful, and just a little emotional. 🥹💕

We have taken in well over 100 Homecoming orders this year — probably more than we should have with the small team we had on hand — but we wanted to do everything we could to make sure nobody was left out. ❤️

So as you stop into our tiny little shop this weekend, we kindly ask for a little patience. We are working our hearts out behind the scenes to get every corsage, boutonniere, and order finished with the same care and attention we would give it if you were our only customer. 🌸

And then there’s YOU. 🥹

We’ve discovered that some of you are traveling quite a distance just to pick up your Homecoming flowers from Victoria’s Floral, and we honestly don’t have the words. Knowing that you’re choosing our little family-owned flower shop, even when there are closer options, means more to us than you probably realize.

Thank you, Grayslake and our surrounding communities, for showing up for our tiny shop. Your orders, kind words, patience, and trust mean everything to us. 💕

We also have to give a HUGE thank-you to our amazing flower suppliers! 🌹

If you know me, you know I am VERY particular about flower quality. 😂 I hold our suppliers to a high standard because I want you to receive something beautiful and fresh — every single time.

This week, they went above and beyond to help with my many last-minute requests 🙋‍♀️😂 — sourcing beautiful, quality product on short notice and getting it to us right on time.

Because of them and our hardworking little team, we’ve been able to turn all those flowers into something special for your Homecoming weekend. 💐
