A few years ago, this land hosted only a handful of bird species. Since then, we've cleared space for 10,000 lavender plants, set tens of thousands of trees (none of them Jack Pine), and added countless native plants and flowers across the property.

Today, The Uncommon Ranch isn’t just a lavender farm, it’s a growing bird haven and an official Monarch Waystation.

And now, thanks to the PUC we recently acquired, we’ve confirmed something we already suspected: the birds have taken notice. In just a couple of weeks, we’ve logged over 100 different species right here on The Ranch outside of Grayling Michigan.

Congratulations to our neighbors, Forest Dunes Golf Club on the announcement of their new course. At the Ranch we appreciate the land around us and the beautiful sky above. Perfect name for a course nestled in our Huron National Forest and under our magical clear skies.

With all the talk about eggs these days it’s good to know where your eggs are coming from. Our lavender Orpington hens were raised from chicks right here on our ranch.
