We’re still thinking about Sunday.

Workingman’s Dead was one of those performances that reminds you why live music matters. Jay Blakesberg’s incredible stories and photographs, Steve Poltz’s fearless songwriting and heartfelt performances, and the inspired guitar work of our special guests Lebo and Jake Brownstein came together to create something truly unforgettable.

There was laughter. There were tears. There were moments that felt downright spiritual. The love for the music, the community, and the legacy of the Grateful Dead filled the room in a way we’ll never forget.

To Jay, Steve, Lebo, and Jake, thank you for giving High Sierra one of the most powerful and memorable performances we’ve ever witnessed. It was an honor to share that experience with everyone in the room.

If you’re anywhere near Chicago, don’t miss Workingman’s Dead at Garcia’s on Wednesday, July 15. After what happened on Sunday, Jay and Steve invited Lebo to join them once again for another unforgettable evening. Seated tickets have sold out, but standing room tickets are still available.
