Even though there are a lot of changes happening at Emily’s, one thing that remains is my commitment to this amazing community and the traditions we hold dear.
One of those traditions is the Nevada County Fair—and in our family, the fair runs deep.
My mom worked for the fairgrounds more than 30 years ago. My dad spent years making caramel corn with the Lions Club, and today he continues to give back by serving on the Nevada County Fair Foundation Board. Countless family members have worked the Girl Scout Orange Juliet booth. My brother ran a car in the demolition derby. My nieces and nephews have taken their turns mutton busting at the rodeo. Every generation of our family has entered fair competitions. I even had the incredible honor of winning Nevada County Fair Idol, and many family members have had the opportunity to judge competitions over the years.
The Nevada County Fair isn’t just an event to our family—it’s part of our history, our memories, and our community. It’s something that has brought generations of our family together and created countless memories along the way.
And while so much is changing at Emily’s, one thing I didn’t want to change was our commitment to supporting this community and the fair.
That’s why, for more than 15 years, we have been proud to be a sponsor of the Nevada County Fair.
Some traditions are simply too important to let go of. ❤️
Thank you Nevada County Fairgrounds for another wonderful year at the fair!
