Kinda chic to have a destination wedding in Southern Oregon ✨

On the trail of the Applegate, the #1 w**e region in all of the USA named by USA Today, epic hiking and camping, glamping right across the street from Sungate Place, and endless attractions throughout the valley.

Southern Oregon is not a place to be missed - especially when you're saying "I do" in our rustic elegant barn surrounded by everything adventure and beauty have to offer.

And then it rained. ❤️

Today we had something we haven't seen around Sungate Place in a very long time — rain.

Normally that wouldn't be much of a story.

But this was the first rain since we finished building and landscaping the new outdoor area at the Bridal Suite.

So of course I had to go outside and watch it.

There is something pretty satisfying about seeing rain hit the rocks, the new plants getting their first real drink, and water finding its way through an area that only recently existed in our imagination.

We've shared a lot of the progress on the Bridal Suite this year. The room itself, the patio, the landscaping, the rocks, the little dry creek and all those finishing touches that slowly turn a construction project into a place.

Today it finally got rained on.

And somehow that made it feel a little more finished.

The funny thing about Sungate Place is that we're probably never really done. We finish one corner, stand back and admire it for about five minutes...

and then one of us says, “You know what would look good over there?” 😂

But today we're just going to enjoy the rain.
