We have a great lineup over the 3 days of Cherry Festival! Our members Judi Montes and Israel Bustamante have worked hard to bring in a variety of bands.

This year we are opening Fridays entertainment with 3 local worship teams then DJ Supremacía will be hosting a dance party with his lighted robots and other fun characters. We will close Friday with Los Chavalones and their high energy performance and sound.

Saturday we are opening the entertainment with a show featuring dancing horses. Then we will have performances by a few singers singing some of their favorite songs. Be sure to find your way to the stage at 2pm because the Tricities steel drum band is back again this year and they have a great show planned for your enjoyment. Following that performance Azetatos Rock band and Tequila Rock band will be jamming out. Then get ready to dance 💃 🕺with the high energy and traditional sounds of Los Guerreros de Oaxaca and Enlace Especial will be closing the night with their high energy music and you might hear a few covers of some popular songs in their set.

Sunday we have Allison Godínez starting things off singing some popular songs. Then at 1pm make your way to the stage to catch the Aztec Dancers of CEATL TONALLI and their traditional dances. We will continue the day with music by K**e Cervantes, Andy Veliko and Angel Maldonado. At 4pm get ready to dance the rest of the night away because Los Hermanos Flores, Rafaga de Tierra Caliente, Los Luceros de Durango and Nuevo Alterado will be bringing their high energy performances to get everyone dancing. Our raffle will also be Sunday night on the stage. So come one come all for a mighty fun time of dancing and being in community at Cherry Festival. 🍒🌸😎

🍒🍒Hey Cherry Festival fans we are getting really close to our 75th annual Granger Cherry Festival this year! This year we have some exciting new changes happening with the festival.

As you may have noticed during previous festivals we are experiencing growing pains and we are grateful to have that problem it means we have many fans of the festival 🙂!

After last years festival we held a post festival meeting to address some concerns regarding the continuation of Cherry Festival and these concerns were expressed:
•Event outgrowing main city park.
To solve this we looked into a couple other locations in town (Hisey park/Stoneys plaza) and found that logistically we are better setup for the festival at Stoneys Plaza. Our club membership voted unanimously to move the festival to Stoneys Plaza.

• Downtown businesses loosing business during Cherry Festival.
This was another factor that influenced our move. A business expressed they lost business during the festival and lack of parking for their customers.

•Congestion in Downtown Granger and insufficient parking.
With moving the festival to Stoneys Plaza we would alleviate the downtown and streets around main city park. There would also be plenty of parking there.

•Safety and Event Security
It was expressed by city leaders that we may still not have a fully staffed police department in time for Cherry Festival/April 2025. Security and safety being the biggest priority we researched costs to accommodate security from outside agencies. We have contracted with Yakima Co Sherrif and a private security company to provide security at this years festival. This is also our biggest cost in hosting the festival this year. Additionally there will only be 2 entrance/exits to the festival and allows us more control vs unfenced city park.

The festival moving was not an easy decision as we explored both avenues to decide if moving was the best option to address these concerns and how we could continue to provide the best experience to our festival goers for years to come. We understand some people take change very hard and are set in tradition but we have to take all these concerns into consideration in order to provide the best experience we can.

As always the Cherry Festival will contiue to be a FREE family event and there is FREE ADMISSION AND FREE PARKING. So tell your friends and join us for a great weekend at Cherry Festival! We are working hard to make this years festival one to remember and are adding more merchandise vendors 🛍️as well as bringing in a bigger carnival 🎡 🎠🎢. Come see all the new changes as well
as your favorites like Bingo and great LIVE entertainment.
