Veggies Don’t Need Costumes 🥕🍄🍆
I woke up today with a thought I couldn’t shake until I wrote it down. From now on, when something’s in my head, it’s getting written out.
Here’s the truth—from a chef who’s also certified in nutrition: fake meat has gotten out of control. It’s marketed as the “better” option, but most of it is ultra-processed, packed with sodium, seed oils, and additives. In general, it’s not as good for you as people think—and sometimes a real burger is actually the cleaner choice.
If you’re vegan, I respect that decision. But don’t settle for knockoffs. Vegetables can shine on their own:
• 🍆 Eggplant Parmesan
• 🍄 Fried mushrooms with gravy like a country fried steak
• 🌮 Mushroom & quinoa tacos
• 🥦 Cauliflower “wings”
And here’s something else to think about—plants are alive too. They react when harmed, they send signals through their roots, they know when something’s wrong and fight to survive. Maybe they don’t feel pain like we do, but they’re aware in their own way. And honestly—who are we to say they don’t feel as we do? We’ll never truly know.
What I see now is a wave of “new vegans” who jump on the bandwagon without really knowing why. Following trends, eating knockoff foods, but missing the bigger picture: respect the ingredient. Whether it’s meat or a mushroom, food deserves care, not a disguise.
👉 Whatever you eat—meat, plants, or something in between—make sure you know what’s in it.
But hey… whatever makes you feel better about eating those beautiful plants and flowers! 😂🌸🥗
