Vintage Speed Skates, Skate Repairs & Adult Night Stories | Tarry Hall Roller Rink Podcast Ep. 21
This week on the Tarry Hall Roller Rink Podcast, I head to the rink and open up a special package from an old speed skating friend containing some high-end vintage speed skates from the 1990s. We take a look at the equipment, talk about its history, and discuss finding a new home for these classic skates.
I also show off another pair of skates dating back to the 1950s and 60s, share some skate repair work from the back room, and talk about a few memorable experiences from recent school parties at the rink.
Later in the episode, I discuss an injury that occurred during one of our adult nights and why first aid preparedness is so important for rink owners and operators. To wrap things up, I sit down with one of our adult skate regulars to talk about the local skating community and promote Sunday's Crew Skate event at Tarry Hall.
