Several earlier images of the Grand Rapids Masonic Temple taken from postcards. Notes are included with each image pointing out special details. Many interesting things to note: Rooftop flagpole - don't think that was ever there. What did things look like before the parking structure? Check out those trees on Fulton Street before they widened it. What else can you see? Enjoy!

It was again considered in the 1920s due to the continued growth of the fraternity. The onset of the Great Depression once again shelved plans for the addition. The space is now occupied by our parking structure.

For one hundred years two Lampoliers have guarded the original entrance to the Grand Rapids Masonic Temple. One is dedicated in the honor of William Adams, Masonic Temple Association President, who led the association through the effort to build our temple and passed away on the eve of the temple's completion. His Masonic biography was deposited into the building's cornerstone during the dedication of the building.
