Ashley and I had a chance to meet Dee Snider at his show with Lita Ford at Four Winds in New Buffalo this last weekend and WOW!
Dee’s still got it: the voice, the presence, the showmanship. Total pro, total powerhouse, and still somehow seems like one of the nicest guys in the room.
People tell me I’ve got big hair… but it’s got nothing on Dee Snider’s glory days.
Proof that real legends don’t fade—they just switch to black coffee and louder jackets. 🤘☕

Sharing something personal on this final day of Mental Health Awareness Month.

I’ve struggled with my mental health. And in 2021, I lost my brother Lucas to su***de. He was just 18; a gifted musician, a writer, and one of the kindest souls I’ve ever known.

We created Luc’s Light on his legacy, to give teens access to music and art, and to remind them they have a purpose.

Thank you to the students at Paw Paw High School and the University of South Carolina MIND Club for reigniting this conversation and challenging me to take part in the Ice Bucket Challenge.

To the Class of 2025: YOU MATTER. You have a purpose today. You can change lives in your community right now.

🌟 Luc’s Light offers no-cost music and art lessons for students entering 6th grade through age 20. Luc's Light Youth Music & Arts Foundation

🎶 Sign up or donate at lucslight.org.

Now I’m keeping the momentum going.
I’m nominating Billy Strings, Wealthy Theatre, Dan Sperry Anti-Conjuror , Lita Ford , Dee Snider, Giancarlo Bernini and Alice Cooper's Solid Rock to speak your mind, share your story, and take the plunge or donate to a mental health cause close to your heart.

💧 Luc was not done. And neither are we.

Flashback Friday: Tulip Town Takeovers in Downtown Holland

From 2013 to 2017, every summer, this little street area of Holland, Michigan became my stage.

Right outside the Fifth Third Bank, surrounded by the golden hour sun, brick buildings, and the smell of waffle cones from Kilwins down the block, I would show up with nothing but a few props, a whole lot of energy, and an ambition only an 18-year-old could have.

And somehow, every week, the crowds showed up.

Families. Tourists. Locals. Kids with balloon animals. Adults who, "don’t usually like magic," but stayed for the finale. At one point, we packed so many people onto that sidewalk stretch, we actually had to move locations because we were blocking so much traffic. True story.

Those summers built me as a performer. It's where I learned how to grab attention from across the street and down the street, how to keep an audience locked in, and how to turn a quiet evening into a full-blown performance. I met so many amazing people. A few of you have even followed my journey from those street shows to theaters, private events, and the wild things I'm fortunate enough to do today.

And to this day, there's nothing quite like getting strangers to stop and watch you. It's raw. It's real. And it teaches you how to earn every second of people's attention.

Who knows—maybe the next big act is in Holland this summer, working the same sidewalk I once did.

So today, for Flashback Friday, I want to say thank you to the City of Holland and the Holland Street Performer Series for giving me, a scrappy magician, a place to start my career and start shining.

If you're ever in Holland on a summer Thursday night, go check it out. You never know who you'll see or what might happen.

And if you ever saw one of my shows back then, I'd love to hear from you. Drop a 🌷 in the comments below.
