Floristry is so much more than actually making the arrangements in the days leading up to your event. Lately I’ve been doing some freelancing for other designers and as much as I enjoy getting to put together arrangements it has reminded me that there is an often unsung part of the job that I really enjoy, and that’s ordering! You see, when I sit down to work on your mood board and actually make the final selections of what flowers and foliage to order for your event, that’s where the magic starts! This part of the process is fundamental to the final result and it makes sense why I enjoy it so much. It’s where I start really envisioning how all the elements will come together. So just remember, it’s not just the skills to make the bouquet, but every single stem in there was selected intentionally to bring the whole vision together!
