We are devasted to learn of the great losses suffered by the flooding in Texas last weekend.

Camp is a place to create belonging and growth. These experiences are becoming increasingly crucial in our evolving climate that has brought unprecedented weather events across the country. With growing threats of displacement from wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and more, families across the country need camps - their summer homes - now more than ever.

What an absolutely beautiful night it turned out to be. ✨
Last Friday, we kicked off summer on the deck of the Loeks Retreat Center at Camp Blodgett to the sweet sounds of Whorled. Thank you to all that were able to join us on this warm and breezy evening. 🧡💙🩵

As we enter our two week break, we wanted to reflect on all the help we received this Spring to prepare for this year's sessions. 🥰👏

Many hands make light work, even when the work is moving sturdy picnic tables or disassembling beds! We had help with landscaping, cleaning cabins, painting the Pigeon Creek Schoolhouse and raking the walking trails too. THANK YOU!!🩵💙🧡

🎉 Today, we honor Juneteenth a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the ongoing fight for equity.

On June 19, 1865, over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free. Juneteenth marks that moment, a powerful reminder that freedom is not just declared but fought for and protected.

At Camp Blodgett, we believe every kid deserves to feel free to be themselves, to learn, to grow, and to shine. 💫
