I could echo some of these sentiments. Wedding flowers are pretty (and do bring something special), but retail floristry often conveys more direct and interesting emotions because they are directly sent between people.

And they aren't arrangements pitched after an event, they are enjoyed in someone's home for the duration. xoxo- Kaci Lee

New Taproom openings deserve flowers!

Excited to help Ben Muller Realty celebrate the opening of the new Tap Room at 928 Wealthy, GR.

They have the sour beers (and more) worth raving about, and have a notable global following. As I'm a newbie to sours, I had the Peach Gentric Drift and the Base Pair IPA (highly recommend).

Thinking of the couples being forced to cancel thier wedding because of the virus. A day that was supposed to be filled with some of thier most special memories, now postponed for the greater good of others. I can imagine how heartbreaking that must feel, and how important it will be to make space to grieve. 💔

It is a sacrifice made in the true spirit of hospitality, which is creating a space to celebrate and simultaneously take care of others. The food, dessert, and dancing has to wait until the cost of the party wouldn't ultimately be at the cost of another person's life. But even if it is the right thing to do, it still is so hard. I feel for you, brides.

A for you.... Lately, I have been more of a full time Mom, and part time florist. It's the season I'm in right now. But like everything, it's constantly evolving. I still have my hands in flowers every week, but rarely bother to IG. (Sometime social feels cumbersome, am I right?!) I'm still taking on select projects and events, so don't count me out. My email responses may be a little slower, but I always show up for clients on event day ready to serve with a full heart.

About me, I have two kids, and love being a Mom. Elliot is a great Dad, and makes us breakfast in bed everyday, because I'm seemingly always nursing with an 8 week old baby. He's also a supportive business husband. Rarely complaining about the long hours during event weeks. Lately, I've loved freelancing. I can show up, work, and then go home. It almost feels like a "regular" job.

Other fun facts about me personally, I have never been a girlie girl, but do like makeup, a reason to get out and feel cute. I am a sister, with two brother. A middle child. I loved playing sports and competition. I still love being outside and working with my hands. I like growing flowers. I am typing this one handed, holding a baby. The two year old is taking a bubble bath at 10 AM, because she woke up grumpy.

Off to for a fundraiser for thier equestrian program. Thier venue is gorgeous and the revenue from the event space supports their charity. How great is it to know your wedding could benefit animal's lives too?!
