There is something incredibly special about watching women intentionally pour into other women. ❤️

Today, Stories on a Board had the honor of creating a grazing table for Shannon Cohen and the Rockstar Woman Movement—a community dedicated to investing in the aspirations, ambition, and wellness of women who lead, love, and serve. It was inspiring to be even a small part of a room filled with purpose, connection, and empowerment. (Rockstar Woman Movement -)

As a woman-owned business, opportunities like this mean so much to me. Thank you for trusting Stories on a Board to help create an experience where women could gather, connect, and celebrate one another.

Here's to building community, supporting women, and creating spaces where everyone leaves feeling seen, valued, and inspired. ✨

Thank you, Shannon Cohen and the Rockstar Woman Movement, for allowing me to be part of such a meaningful event. 💛

Still sitting in gratitude after today 🤎✨

Stories on a Board officially stepped back into the room—and not just any room… a space filled with powerful, inspiring women of color coming together in community, connection, and purpose.

Today’s event, hosted at the Grand Rapids Community Foundation-Black Women Connect, Inforum, and the Latina Network of West Michigan meant more than I can fully put into words. To be welcomed with open arms, to hear the love and feedback, to be asked for my business again and again… it reminded me of something I needed to feel:

I still got it.
I’m still worthy.
And yes… I’m still THAT cheese lady 🧀✨

This wasn’t just a grazing table. This was alignment. This was confirmation. This was purpose meeting opportunity.

Thank you for trusting me with your space, your event, and your community. This is only the beginning of what’s ahead for Stories on a Board.
Let’s create something beautiful together 🤎

More Than “Meats” the Eye 👁️

Meet The ❤️ Behind the Boards-Amber Clingman

When I first started this business, it was called Boards by Bam — a name inspired by my nickname and big personality. I was simply looking to create a little extra income. But like most things in life, it evolved into something much deeper.

With a background in mental health, social work, and human services, I’ve always been passionate about people — about connection, healing, and building community. I never imagined that cheese and crackers would become part of that mission… but here we are.

As I created boards for weddings, baby showers, open houses, and community events, clients would say things like, “Your boards tell a story,” or “You’re an artist.” I’d smile and reply, “I’m not an artist — I just love feeding people.” But the truth is, they weren’t wrong.

Each grazing table, each board — they became little moments of stillness. While I was creating something beautiful for someone else, I was healing quietly within myself. They gave me space to process, to reflect, to breathe. And over time, I realized: I wasn’t just helping others tell their story — I was rewriting my own.

That’s why I rebranded to Stories on a Board. Because this is more than charcuterie. It’s a space where people come together, where food becomes a bridge, and where healing — in all its forms — is always on the menu.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your celebration, your milestone, your moment. It’s an honor to help you tell your story — one board at a time 🫐🧀📖
