Meet The ❤️ Behind the Boards-Amber Clingman
When I first started this business, it was called Boards by Bam — a name inspired by my nickname and big personality. I was simply looking to create a little extra income. But like most things in life, it evolved into something much deeper.
With a background in mental health, social work, and human services, I’ve always been passionate about people — about connection, healing, and building community. I never imagined that cheese and crackers would become part of that mission… but here we are.
As I created boards for weddings, baby showers, open houses, and community events, clients would say things like, “Your boards tell a story,” or “You’re an artist.” I’d smile and reply, “I’m not an artist — I just love feeding people.” But the truth is, they weren’t wrong.
Each grazing table, each board — they became little moments of stillness. While I was creating something beautiful for someone else, I was healing quietly within myself. They gave me space to process, to reflect, to breathe. And over time, I realized: I wasn’t just helping others tell their story — I was rewriting my own.
That’s why I rebranded to Stories on a Board. Because this is more than charcuterie. It’s a space where people come together, where food becomes a bridge, and where healing — in all its forms — is always on the menu.
