Built in 1884, the Grand Ledge Opera House has served many purposes over its long history, from a roller rink to a furniture store, to the cherished venue we know today.
As a nonprofit organization, we rely on community support to maintain and preserve this historic gem. Every dollar raised goes directly into the building, keeping it safe, welcoming, and available for generations to come.
Earlier this year, the Opera House was temporarily closed for flood repairs, which delayed our usual fundraising efforts. As we return to serving the community, we are launching our first capital campaign since the building’s original restoration 30 years ago.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 for essential exterior improvements, including resealing the roof and restoring the riverside deck. These projects are vital to protecting the building and ensuring it remains a vibrant space for community use.
