After a lot of thought, conversation, and looking ahead to what this next season of life will hold, we've got some big changes to announce at The Stalk Market!
December 2026 will be the final month for our Grand Avenue storefront.
Beginning January 1, 2027, The Stalk Market will transition to an events only floral business, with our focus shifting entirely toward weddings, celebrations, and special events.
That means we will no longer have a retail storefront or regular walk-in shopping hours, and we will no longer be offering everyday floral arrangements, retail flower orders, or otherwise individual floral orders.
Moving forward, I’ll be operating from a studio/home-based model and accepting weddings, celebrations, and special events as normal. This means I’ll no longer be taking everyday floral orders, deliveries, or individual arrangements, but I will continue designing and creating florals for the events I take on.
This is a bittersweet announcement to make. The shop has been such a special part of my life, and I’m incredibly grateful for every person who has walked through our doors, sent flowers to someone they love, picked up a gift for a friend, trusted us with a wedding, or simply stopped in to say hello. What started as a little flower shop has grown into something I’m immensely proud of—and that is because of all of you.
While I’m ready to step away from the retail side of the business, I would genuinely love to see the space continue to be home to something wonderful.
The Main Street (Grand Lake) storefront will be available for rent beginning January 1, 2027.
If you’ve ever dreamed of opening a gift shop, floral shop, creative retail space, or something entirely your own in downtown Grand Lake, I’d love to hear from you. And if someone is interested in continuing the everyday floral or gift shop concept, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
There may be opportunities to discuss parts of the existing business, inventory, fixtures, or other pieces depending on what you have in mind.
For those of you who have supported our retail shop over the years, thank you. Truly. Thank you for shopping small, sending flowers, trusting me with your biggest celebrations, recommending us to your friends, and making a little flower shop in Grand Lake feel like it belonged to all of us.
There is so much I’m excited about in what comes next. The storefront may be closing (unless someone else wants to take it into future! ;), but The Stalk Market will still be here for your celebrations and events. We’re simply getting a little smaller, a little more intentional, and making room for what’s next.
We’ll be celebrating our final few months on Grand Avenue through December, so if you’ve been meaning to stop in, now is the time. 🌿
