Here’s the story behind the name 👇🏼

When my wife and I were engaged, the planning season leading up to our wedding was full of anticipation and joy—we simply couldn’t wait!

I wanted a name that captured the same feeling. I was actually reminded of Christmas and the word “advent” struck me. Many of us hear “advent” and think of the joyful expectation of the holiday season. As a follower of Jesus, advent also reminds me of the joyful anticipation of His return.

The word “advent” just felt right. It’s a season full of expectation, joy, and preparation—just like wedding planning.

Whether you’re full of anticipation for your big day, or overwhelmed by the details, I’d love to walk with you- through the planning or just on the day-of -so you can focus on your big day!

I’m Jared! I started Advent Wedding Planning because not many other things give me more joy than marriage and weddings. I love my marriage. I love seeing others get married. I specifically love the anticipation of a wedding — all the hard work and prep work, and I know it takes others to make a wedding happen. I am grateful for those who helped my wife and I prepare for our wedding and I have a deep desire to help others prepare for their wedding and more importantly a beautiful marriage.
