When imagining my own wedding florals, I wanted bright, vibrant, and lush arrangements. I knew Jalen Nicole Floral would do a marvelous job and man oh man I was right!

For our late May wedding, I wanted to do fans with fresh flowers that matched their bridesmaids dresses.
I always recommend having multiple centerpiece designs for visual interest and to stretch your floral budget further. By having smaller arrangements in the tea cups, the lantern wreaths and compotes could be even more bloom heavy!

I loved how Jalen brought my bridal bouquet dreams to life and I was able to add in a few LEGO flowers that I have all over our home! For my bouquet charms I had a blue flower brooch from Jordan’s late Grandma, a dragonfly brooch to honor my late nephew Charlie who loved insects of all kinds, and photo charms of my Grandma and Godfather - just a few pieces for those who were with us in spirit on our wedding day 🤍

Introducing the Bauers!

Katie and Nate are a wonderful couple who complement each other beautifully. Surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated tying the knot at Brewhalla with Rev D. It started raining just before the ceremony and the way Katie’s eyes lit up was just precious, as soon as they said “I do” it started POURING down with rain. I just know these two are going to have one heck of a life together!

Working with the crew at Brewhalla was fantastic and the vendor team was top notch!

Looking for a seating chart that’s easy, cheap, and doubles as home decor later? Here you go!

1. Thrift a large art print with a frame you love (if you want a different color, it’s super easy to change!)
2. Design 4x6 prints, download and print - Walmart, CVS, or Walgreens are great options for standard print sizes.
3. Stick onto the glass - double sided tape, mounting squares, mounting putty, or regular tape works too!

I always recommend doing your seating chart alphabetically by last name instead of by table, it tends to be a lot faster for people to find. If your table layout is a little funky or using a table name instead of a number, having a table map is SUPER helpful for guests to find their seats.

The biggest cost is going to be the framed print, but if you want something cleaner a gallery glass frame on sale is a great option!

A wildflower wedding on a working farm owned by friends of the couple, complete with honey and goats!

Yesterday was in incredible day filled with love and community, from the wildflower aisle lovingly planted and maintained for this special day, to family recipes of salsas and cheesecake, and the amazing friends and family that helped set up to bring all of Becca and Ben’s amazing ideas to life. Congratulations to the newlyweds and I’m so excited to see what the future holds for you!

My wedding band and engagement ring are soldered and I am SO happy with how the team at River City Jewelers did!

Instead of doing both sides of the ring jacket, we left one band free in case I want to wear something more low-key, when we’re traveling, and generally having options in how I wear it everyday! I also had them take the excess material from the bridges of the jacket and fill in the space under the side baguettes on my engagement ring - a tiny detail but one that I’m so glad I had them do!

Now that I have my ring back, I’m even more in love with it than before. Seriously, if you need jewelry in the Grand Forks area, I cannot recommend Mike and his team at River City enough!

From professional and personal experience - if something does not feel right, don’t do it just because it’s tradition. Your wedding day should be a beautiful reflection of you and your partner starting a new chapter together. Period. End of story. After all, every tradition was new once upon a time.
