DIY Gatefold Programs

I love the look of a Gatefold invite but I didn’t love the price, so I made our ceremony programs in a Gatefold style on Canva! The premium letterhead paper option was perfect for the sturdy feel I wanted while being able to easily fold. Printing through Canva gave me great color quality at a price I felt good about.

I love that I could put the order of events, ceremony, bridal party, a QR code to share photos and videos, and a thank you from us to our guests, all in one piece. The emblem on the front was also on our wedding invite, a detail I loved and wanted to implement again to tie that in!

Having the emblem line up is definitely the thing that was the trickiest, especially with the thank you section on the back having a hard line - this is just one of those details that isn’t perfect and that is okay because I am the only one who is going to actually care about it. I’m filing this inconsequential imperfection under “things I’m letting go of” in 2026. In case you were questioning it, ceremony programs are a nice touch but in no way a need for a wedding!

If you love the look, let me know and I’ll send you the link to this design!

Bustling your dress is an amazing way to get the train up and out of the way, but it can also leave a mark depending on your style of bustle and the fabric of your dress!

Best to always wait until you’re done having it fully down and only bustle it once.

In this bride’s case she had a gorgeous satin ball gown with a bustle that tucked all of the train under to give one clean hem. When you take it down, anything that was on the floor left a dark ring around the middle of the train. Once first look photos with dads had gotten done, myself and four others went to work scrubbing for about 10-15 minutes before the ceremony and it all worked out. We got those big train aisle photos, from afar you could barely tell if you knew, and my amazing bride was so chill about the entire thing.
