Our future.

This isn't a perfect photo.

It's an iPhone picture.
The house is a construction zone.
Two of our board members (Courtney & Ameer) couldn't be here.

But I don't think we'll ever take another photo quite this meaningful.

Today, The Aitken Farmhouse Foundation officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

That means every eligible donation made to our foundation is now tax-deductible.

This photo captures the very beginning of something we believe will become incredibly special—not just for us, but for Genesee County.

These are the people volunteering their time, talents, and hearts to preserve one of our area's oldest historic homes and create a place where history, education, and community can thrive for generations.

Now the real work begins.
Every restored window.
Every repaired floor.
Every educational program.
Every child who walks through these doors years from now.....starts with people who believe this place is worth saving.

Every single frame was purchased second-hand and hand-painted to coordinate perfectly with the bride’s colors. Even the lettering at the top was cut in-house using our Cricut… and yes, old cereal boxes ♻️
