✨Thanks in advance for reading✨
Photos I take in the shop can never compare to how beautiful blooms look to the eye. One of today’s arrangements was a birthday celebration, last week I handed flowers to a neighbor whose wife had tragically and unexpectedly passed on. Flowers are funny…
Not haha funny. Interesting may be the better word. So many emotions, celebrations, weddings, thinking of yous, holidays, tragedy, grief. I know my job looks a lot like I play with flowers every day and it’s SO cliche. While yes this is true in some cases! There’s so much behind the scenes, so much emotion, planning, practicing, learning, bookwork! Emotion for me too. To get into a creative space in your mind and turn it on and off on demand is every artist’s superpower.
Some days I am greeted with a beaming recipient, some days the door opens and the recipient and I have a cry and a hug. It feels intimate in a way, especially when I am fortunate to bring some brightness to someone surrounding their same grief repeatedly. I know they know my car pulling up and I have to take a deep breath to get out, bracing. I love my customers. I love bringing them blooms, whatever that means for them in the moment. I love having those cries, laughs, hugs and smiles.
When you order at Bear’s you talk to me. We get to have a good chat about anything you want. Any note you want to send to someone special. I get to meet your people. I get to connect people from across the country. (Even some from other countries!!) I care about every bloom coming in and out. I want to know the recipients favorite color. Shopping with Bear’s supports one girls’s dream and supports so many spots of sunshine in folks’ day. Someday I’ll nail down the photos of arrangements… until then? I’m just going to keep creating. ♥️ Thanks for being here.
