Today’s Featured Class available at the North Texas Gourd Festival is “COILING WITH DANISH CORD” taught by Susan Lankford Class Fee: $75
Class time: Saturday, April 5, 2025 - 12:30pm to 4:30pm.

In this class, students will learn the art of coiling around the top of an open gourd using Danish Cord. Also included will be the use and application of alcohol inks and finishes.

Today’s Featured Class available at the North Texas Gourd Festival is “FLOATING BEAD RIBBON HANDLE BASKET” taught by Vickie Echols Class Fee: $85
Class time: Saturday, , April 5, 2025 - 8:00am to 4:30pm.

This is an 8 hour class
This is a sweet basket that is worked in one continuous coil. The pine needles are coiled around the gourd, and we will learn a variety of stitches including how to work beads into your coiling. We will be making a double handle and learning how to give it extra support.

In this 4 hour class, students will learn how to apply chain beads to a gourd making a beautiful design.

In this 4 hour class, students will create a beaded gourd music instrument. Students will leave class with a finished gourd.
