As I get a little older and (hopefully) a little wiser, I've really come to appreciate that in love, there is no one size fits all fit for everyone.
Every love story is a little different and a little special in its own way and that's why I tend to really adore photographing older couples who are on their second marriage or marrying later in life.
There's something about having a life's worth of moments and memories behind you that makes the ones in front of you mean so much more.
And that's one of the reason's Maureen and Dick's wedding this afternoon at Highfields Country Club in Grafton, Massachusetts felt so genuinely real and beautiful.
This wasn't a couple doing what they "thought" they were supposed to do on a wedding day. This was a couple who came into today with a vision, knew what they wanted and savored every moment.
And whether it was a really fun surprise first dance moment partially set to "Dancing Queen" by Abba or a fun "Shoe Game" full of laughs and cheers, Maureen and Dick made every second count on a night I know they'll never forget.
I'll have a lot more to share from this one soon but, for now, here's a little look at Maureen and Dick's wonderful day. I'm just glad I was on hand to play a small part in documenting it and can't wait to help these two relive it over and over again for the rest of their lives. :)
