On June 7th, USDA announced two additional NWS cases in Texas- a calf in La Salle County with an umbilical lesion, and a dog in Andrews County.

*UPDATE* The NWS case in Andrews County has been reclassified by USDA to be the first case in New Mexico, not Texas: https://bit.ly/USDA-NWSNM

An additional infested zone has been established in La Salle and Webb County, and additional epidemiological investigations are occurring to learn more about the case in Andrews County. Those located in the infested zones should stay updated with current movement requirements. View the TAHC interactive NWS map here: https://bit.ly/NWS-ZoneMap

๐Ÿค  Itโ€™s That Time Again, Gonzales! ๐ŸŽ
The City of Gonzales is once again proud to host the Texas Junior High Rodeo Association (TJHRA) Finals at JB Wells Park, and weโ€™re asking our community to help us welcome competitors and families from all across Texas!

Each year, the TJHRA Finals Rodeo brings together some of the best junior high rodeo athletes in the state to compete in exciting events like barrel racing, bull riding, team roping, goat tying, breakaway roping, and more. These students work all season long to earn their place at the finals, and Gonzales has the honor of being part of this exciting Texas rodeo tradition.
As many of you know, this event brings hundreds of contestants, families, coaches, and visitors into our community โ€” and it takes all of us working together to showcase the hospitality Gonzales is known for!

Whether you can volunteer for a few hours or multiple days, your support helps make this event successful year after year. Itโ€™s a great opportunity to support youth rodeo, meet people from across Texas, and show pride in our community.
