On August 4th we were named business of the month by the Goliad Chamber of commerce and visitors center ❤️

❤️A little story about Rk BBQ and catering ❤️

Our journey started back in 2022 when we began cooking and delivering plates around Goliad on Fridays. What started as just one day a week quickly grew, and within a few short months we were serving plates three days a week and taking on catering jobs whenever we have the opportunity.

In 2023 we took another big step and purchased our first food trailer. Before long we were running that trailer 5 days a week serving hard working crews at a local solar farm.It was long days, early mornings, late nights, and a whole lot of learning- but we kept pushing forward.

Then came August 2024, a building became available, and we decided to take a chance and give the restaurant business a go.We opened the doors to Rk BBQ in October 2024 with just two employees and three days a week.

Fast forward to today...❤️

We have grown into a restaurant serving breakfast and lunch 6 days a week, with nine wonderful employees who help us keep everything going.

It's not always easy there have been plenty of long hours, sacrifices, mistakes, lessons, good days, bad days and everything in between.But every step has helped us build Rk BBQ into what it is today.
ARE WE STILL LEARNING ABSOLUTELY EVERYDAY!

We are incredibly thankful for every customer who has ordered a plate, booked us for catering, visited our food trailer, walked through our restaurant doors, shared our post, recommended us to someone or simply continue to spread the word.

And of course we can't forget the haters - y'all keep our name going to 😂❤️

From delivering Friday plates around Goliad to running and operating our own restaurant, we are proud of how far we've come - but we know we're not finished yet.

We look forward to continuing to grow, improving everyday, serving our community, and hopefully expanding Rk BBQ even further one day.

Thank you, Goliad and all of our surrounding communities, for being part of our journey. We couldn't have made it this far without your continued support.
