Nearly 3 years ago two old cowboys got to thinkin about the future of rodeo and rough stock riders. Wouldn't it be cool to have something for these bronc riders to practice and build up confidence? After visiting the Tom Butler Memorial Bronc Riding (where Jaci Bell competed and won) and watching his herd of bucking ponies test the skills of young riders, the boys got busy. Pace rode broncs a few
moons back and Heath was already traveling to rodeos with his mutton busters and cattle. A spark was ignited and the two friends created the Lonesome Dove Rodeo Company L.L.C. There is nothin like raisen kiddos to appreciate and steward the land and livestock, to know where their groceries come from, and to carry on a tradition-a legacy. It's the greatest blessing ever to get to do what you love!
