My longtime companion and provider of shelter from the storm, or the sun, or just defining my space met an untimely demise today.

A gust of wind that moved the bouncy houses back 15 feet with 200lbs of sandbags tumbled my beloved old red and yellow canopy tent, flinging one of the 20lb weights over a 7' metal fence; twisting the frame and impaling the cover on the tips of the fence rods.

Alas, my tent is no more. Hundreds, nay, thousands of smiles were produced 'neath it's welcoming circus colors. It is like losing an old friend.

I will be at Slocumb & Olivia from 5 until ? today. Come and enjoy some community with your neighbors!
