Rails & Ales at James J. Hill Days was a total hit! I loved welcoming everyone to the event and then snapping a photo of their friend group having a blast. Cheers to the Wayzata West Metro Chamber for a great time! 📸✨

I started my weekend checking in our street market vendors bright and early and watching Lake Street transform for James J. Hill Days. I loved running up and down the festival taking photos of the small businesses, log rolling, chalk art, mechanical bull, llamas, carnival rides, food trucks, and more!

One of my highlights was organizing the parade vendors and watching them walk down the street. Ten years ago, I was marching down this exact street in uniform, playing the same song on the trombone and chanting the same cadence with the Wayzata marching band. Being on the other side (a decade later) as part of the Wayzata West Metro Chamber team to support event management and photography felt like a true full circle moment.

I'm grateful I got to support an amazing team that brings our community together!

The GVCF supports initiatives that preserve our shared local history and bring neighbors together. They provided a grant that helped bring this farewell to life. It was powerful having nearly 350 neighbors, alumni, and friends gather to honor this legacy.
