Aaron Judge is out 4 to 6 weeks with a fractured rib cage. This is a huge injury the Yankees offense relies on Judge to stabilize them in hitting for average and power for combines production right now they Yankees 2nd best hitter Ben Rice will have to step up if they want to win the Yankees during this stretch will need their starters to continue to perform and they will need their Bullpen to stop blowing games late.

Rao Stadium Shuttleworth Park Amsterdam NY-

Jack Lapham pitched 4 innings giving up 1 earned run which came in the 4th inning on a two out RBI double by Ben Lavery. David Silva JR lead off the inning with a single and stealing 2nd. The next two batters struck out and grounded out to short. Lapham gave up 1 earned run, 4 hits, walked 3 and struck out 6. The Mohawks explode to score 6 runs to come from behind and win.
Rao Shuttleworth Amsterdam NY.

The Amsterdam Mohawks rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the 6th inning to win the game 9-5. Both starters were dominating. The game was scoreless until the 5th inning when the Dragons took a 1-0 lead on a RBI single with 2 outs by Mario Cubello. The Dragons extended their lead in the 6th inning on a RBI Double from Von Baker who relieved Arlon Butts in the 6th inning. He gave up 1 earned run, 2 hits and walked 1.

Jake Washock pitched 5+ innings giving up 3 runs 2 of which were earned. He was dominanting for the 5 innings he played, shutting the Mohawks out. His only problem in this game was that he hit 4 batters. He gave up 3 hits, 0 walks, 4 HBP, committed 1 error which he committed in the 6th inning.
Brett Coker lead off the inning with a well placed single. Cade Bush followed, getting another single. Josh Overbeek then bunted to advance the runners to 2nd and 3rd. Washock attempted to get the out at 3rd but he threw the ball away, which allowed Coker to score and Bush went to 3rd and Overbeek went to 2nd. The Mohawks would score 5 more runs. Dan Shala stepped in to replace Washock but couldn't record an out. He allowed for 2 inherited runners giving up 1 earned run he allowed 1 hit and he walked 2. Pitcher Evan Mahns stepped in and allowed 2 inherited runs to score. The Dragons attempted to rally from the 6-2. Martin Marintchev singled on a popfly to right field with 1 out. Phillp Krpata walked and stole 2nd and they both scored on a E2 by Tommy Hunter who tried to throw out Krpata. The Mohawks scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th which extended their lead to 9-4. The Yankees are clicking on all cylinders right now they're currently on a 11 game winning streak which includes beating the Blue Jays who are a legit world series contender. Both their pitching and hitting are clicking on they have scored 79 runs which is about 7.1 runs pergame. They have hit 22 home runs scoring 39 runs which is 49.3%. their ba is 287 and with RISP they're hitting 287 which means that their home runs are massive instead of Solo shots They are also hitting 305 with RISP. Their pitching has been lights out during the 11 game winning streak their starters have a ERA of 2.50 they allowed 57 hits, 9 walks 57 strike outs they have allowed 5 home runs.

Their bullpen has been a little bit worse than the Starters their ERA is 2.70 They allowed 31 hits 13 walks 38 strike outs they have allowed 3 home runs. Their pitching is holding opponents to a 238 BA and a BA of 202 with RISP if you add all of this up you get a scary team whether they're able to keep this up remains to be seen however right they look like a world series contender.

Rant and review series 1

Red Sox vs Yankees.

The Sox lost 2 out of 3 the Sox offense hit 186 they scored 11 runs 5 came on homer runs which is 45.4%>. They were 3 for 26 with RISP which is a 115 BA that is unacceptable.

The Sox offense needs to hit for average and they need to be better with RISP position for this series I'll give them a D. The Sox pitching did a solid job. Their Starters were mid tier Eovaldi pitched 5 innings giving up 3 earned runs which both came off homers. The first was a two run bomb by Rizzo in the first after being spotted a 3-0 lead. The 2nd came on Stanton Solo shot which came in the 4th to tie the game.

Nick Pivetta pitched game 2 he pitched 6 1/3 innings giving up 4 earned runs on 2 2 run homers they were Rizzo and Stanton again.

Tanner Houck struggled against the Yankees however he only gave up 3 earned runs despite New York allowing 9 Yankees to reach base safely in 3 1/3 innings he struggled with his command all night long but made key pitches to get big outs including getting Stanton to line out with 2 on in the first and with bases loaded with outs got Gleyber Torres to fly out to left field. It was encouraging to see him get big outs like that at yankees Stadium. The Sox Starters need to stop trying out for home run derby because they're in the AL East with the Jays whose offense is on a whole another level than the Yankees. I give the a c+

The Sox Pen Garrett Whitlock looked
Dominant in two innings however AC left him in a 3rd inning and he ended up giving up a Solo shot to DJ Lemahieu in the 8th inning. The Sox in extra innings gave up 2 unearned runs including the game winner to Donaldson in the bottom of the 11th to walkoff.

The final 2 games the Sox Pen pitched 8 scoreless innings they allowed 5 hits and walked 1 they struck out 7. Jake Diekman got the Save by striking out 3 Judge Stanton and Gallo. I was impressed with their pen I will give them a B for the Series.

As far as my

The Orioles are still the Weakest team in the East their goal this season will be can their young players develop into great players. Cedric Mullins who is a very underrated player played his first full season last season he hit 291 with 30 homers his RBIS weren't impressive at 59 however he did steal 30 basesstep up and perform at the same level or better in 22 along with Ryan Mountcastle who hit 255 but had 33 homers and 89 RBIS is entering his 2nd full season in the majors. Trey Mancini who is entering his 6th season hit 255 with 21 homers and 71 RBIS. Anthony Santander 27 going on 28 and who has been in the majors since be 2017 Played over 100 games for the first time in 21 hit 241 with 18 home runs with 50 RBIS Will be looking to improve on his 21 performance in 22.
Austin Hays is another young player that the Orioles will be hoping will make another big jump in 22. He hit 256 with 22 homers and 71 RBIS. Ramón Urias is entering his 3rd season in 22 he will be looking to play over 100 games for the first time he played in 85 in 21 he hit 279 with 7 homeruns and 38 RBIS . Jorge Mateo is entering his 2nd full season and he 5
will be trying to play over 100 games in his career. Last year with the Padres and Orioles he hit 207 in 57 games with 2 homers and 6 RBIS. In 32 games with Baltimore last season he hit 280 with 2 homers and 8 RBIS.
Rougned Odor is the 2nd longest veteran on the teams roster he came up with Texas in 2014 he Spent last year with the Yankees and in 102 games he hit 202 with 39 RBIS. Robinson Chirinos is the oldest player on the Orioles he has been in the majors since 2011 although he has only played 100 games or more two times which was 18-19 and yet he will be the be Orioles primary catcher.

Their pitching will also be relying on young players to make a jump in 22 John Means who came into the Majors in 2018 is entering this 3rd full season he had a down year last year despite throwing a no hitter vs the Mariners on

04/08/2022

The Red Sox the Offense will be great with K**e, Trevor Story was a solid pickup, Xander will have a monster Season in the last year of his contract Devers will be in the MVP conversation all season long. JD Martinez will also have a big year for the Sox. Verdugo will prove that he is a legit stud. Dalbec showed improvements due to him working out with Kyle Schwarber who signed with Philadelphia. Christian will have a solid season. JBJ will be the only easy out in their line up.

The Sox areas of concern are their rotation Bullpen and their infield defense.

The Sox lost Chris Sale for at least 60 games to begin the Season and Paxton won't be there until the 2nd half of the season. Eovaldi is the only pitcher the Sox can rely on to win games. They lost Eduardo Rodriguez who is a good number 2 or 3 pitcher to Detroit in free agency. The guys the Sox will need to step up are Nick Pivetta, Tanner Houck, Michael Wacha who was a dominant number 1 pitcher early in his career 2013-15 however he has been terrible since 2016 in every year other than 2018 where he had a 3.20 his ERA has been over 4 which is a disaster. Rich Hill who is 42 years had a ERA of 2.45 in 2019 With the Dodgers in 31 starts. In a COVID shortened season he had a ERA of 3.03 in 8 Starts. Last year had a down year his ERA was 3.87 with Tampa and 3.84 with the Mets so the Sox will need him to bounce back to his 2020 form. The Sox are also working out Garrett Whitlock who was a great reliever last year

The Sox infield Defense ranked 26th last season in Defensive runs saved at -34 got Story who will help at 2nd base however Xander, Devers are both below average fielders, Dalbec was a problem too although he got better as the season went on.

The Sox outfield defensive runs saved was 14 which ranked 4th AL JBJ I can see making it even better.
The Sox bullpen Struggled in the months of July, August and September October where they had a 4.46ERA. they will win 81-89 games.
