Bad Wolf Run, formally known as Lonesome Dove Riding Stable, presents Ceremonies at Burr Oak. Our love of wolves inspired the name of our ranch. Set in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, you will find a Rustic Cabin & Loafing shed located in a beautiful meadow next to a

winding creek, surrounded by a wooded valley. A perfect setting for casual country ceremony or maybe, should you desire, a themed wedding, the choice is Yours! We are willing to try just about anything...
We are located approximately 20 minutes from Athens Ohio and Ohio University, 1 hour from Lancaster Ohio, and another 1/2 hour to Columbus Ohio. We also sit in close proximity to Parkersburg West Virginia, Zanesville Ohio and McConnelsville Ohio. Adjoined to the Lake at Burr Oak via walking trails that lead all around the lake, The Ohio Buckeye trail and the Bobcat backpack trails are at Boat dock 2 - just a 3 minute walk. The Lodge at Burr Oak is a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute hike thru the woods. There are half dozen cabins for rent even closer than the lodge.

Hey Everyone... Reaching out to you couples who's wedding plans have been interrupted due to the current crisis BUT, have a valid marriage license in-hand! We are offering to perform outside elopement ceremonies for FREE. The ceremony will be conducted outside observing social distancing between the wedding party and officiant. So, if you would like to go ahead with your vow ceremony, please reach out. We are happy to help!
