The countdown is on for the third show in Central Square’s 2026 Concert Series!

On Saturday, September 12th at 7PM, Mitchell Hall will bring young Johnny Cash back to the stage with a spot-on performance, while The Tennessee Trio brings that iconic “boom-chick-a-boom” sound the original band was known for. Together, they deliver one of the most authentic tributes to Johnny Cash’s legendary legacy that we have seen.

This audience favorite is returning to Central Square by popular demand. Join us for a great night of music, memories, and storytelling!

Tickets are available on line at centralsquare.org.
You can also purchase tickets in the Central Square office Monday through Thursday from 10am to 3PM.

Congratulations to the Glenwood High School Class of 1986 who celebrated their 40th Reunion at Central Square on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026!

They are officially the first class to hold their reunion since the completion of Central Square's three-year, $3.9 million restoration project. Their reunion organizer, Nancy (Holtberg) McShane, set the bar high for all future reunions!

A few former GHS teachers and faculty members were honored guests at the reunion, including Sandra Redman, Jim Lepper and Don Swenson.

Central Square would like to thank the Class of 1986 for the generous donation they raised for Central Square through their 50/50 drawing.

It was great to have the Class of 1986 back in these hallowed and historic hallways. We hope everyone had a great time!

Another season of Music on the Lawn is in the books!

A big thanks to all who joined us for an evening of great music and storytelling with Charlie Roth and Morningbird. We know how busy summer is and that there are many events to choose from, we’re grateful you chose ours.

We are passionate about art and artistry. Our Music on the Lawn series supports working musicians who create beautifully crafted songs and make a living performing them. Thank you for being a part of that.

Thank you to the Central Square Team for working tirelessly to put these events together with great humor and incredible work ethic. This was a busy week and our team worked together beautifully to make it both fun and seamless!

Finally, thank you to the amazing Hope Community Church Youth Group who helped us set up and tear down our events this summer. These kids are not only hard workers, they are engaging, respectful, deeply nice young people and we appreciate them so much!

ONE MORE FRIDAY OF MUSIC ON THE LAWN!

We can’t believe we’re saying this already, but this Friday is our final Music on the Lawn of the summer! And we have a fantastic evening planned to close out the season.

Charlie Roth Music will be joined by the incredible Morning Bird as his guest musicians—and come early for a chance to hear from the artists themselves!

5:00–6:00 PM | Singer-Songwriter Q&A

A relaxed conversation with the musicians about songwriting, music, and the stories behind the songs.

6:30–8:00 PM | Concert

Settle in and enjoy an evening of live music on the lawn with Charlie Roth and Morning Bird.

We’ve been looking forward to welcoming the award winning duo, Kathryn Severing Fox and Chad Elliot, the Weary Ramblers, for months! Tonight, our 2026 Concert Series guests fell in love with these incredibly gifted musicians just as we did a few years ago when they were featured in our summer singer/songwriter music series, Music on the Lawn. They are absolute stars and we can’t wait to have them back!

Thank you to the Weary Ramblers for bringing their talent and artistry to Central Square and thank you to all who joined us for this incredible show!

Thank you, also, to local artist Marie Merten for bringing her beautiful art to our Art Gallery! Marie hosted her opening reception tonight and shared her beautiful work with all who visited the gallery this evening. Her gallery opening was a perfect way to begin this magical Saturday night at CSQ!

Marie's work is for sale and will remain on exhibit in the gallery for the next eight weeks. You can also purchase greeting card and beautiful magnets featuring prints of her paintings!

Join us Saturday, August 8th, for an evening of art and live music at Central Square.

Start the evening with a free gallery reception from 5:30–7:00 p.m. featuring regional artist Marie Merten, whose work will be on display and available for purchase. Sponsored by Rolling Forks Vineyards, the reception includes complimentary wine tastings and light hors d’oeuvres.

Then enjoy a performance by Weary Ramblers, the award-winning Americana duo of Chad Elliott and Kathryn Severing Fox.
