Education is everything — and getting to pass along a little bit of what I’ve learned makes it even better! 💐🌿

I had the opportunity to spend some time with the Centerpoint Agriculture Plant Science class today, teaching them the basics of designing a traditional round basket arrangement. They’ll be putting those skills to work and entering their designs in the Pike County Fair next week!

I love getting to share this industry with the next generation and show students that floral design is so much more than just “putting flowers in a vase.” There’s technique, mechanics, creativity, and a whole lot of learning behind every design.

Good luck to all of them at the fair next week! I can’t wait to see what they create! 💚🌸

Maybe we’ve got a few future florists in the making! 😉

Okay y’all, I know we’re supposed to be getting ready for Fall Open House this weekend… but Christmas shipments keep showing up. 😂

And I really did not want to haul all of this to the back room just to turn around and bring it back out, so… y’all are getting a little sneak peek of Christmas!

Now, funny enough, this tree was not planned. This isn’t one collection we ordered together. I literally started pulling things out of boxes, grabbed some ribbon I thought worked with it, and started putting it on the tree.

But I actually love how it turned out! It just goes to show you that you don't have to decorate from one collection. Mix your plaids, your bells, your berries, different ornaments, different ribbons—if you like it and the colors work together, make it your own.

So yes, we’re having Fall Open House September 4th and 5th… but apparently Christmas has already invited itself too. 😂
