Meanwhile, back in 1913…

The first crossword puzzle was published.

Henry Ford introduced the moving assembly line.

The Federal Reserve was created.

Woodrow Wilson became President.

Arizona had only been a state for ONE year.

And in a little town called Glendale, a house was built.

More than a century later, that house is still standing—and these days, instead of simply being someone’s home, it’s filled with weddings, celebrations, families, laughter and a whole lot of history.

It may be hot outside, but wedding and event planning doesn’t stop just because the thermometer has lost its mind.

Happy National Son and Daughter Day!

One of my favorite things about weddings is watching families celebrate not only a marriage, but the son or daughter they’ve loved, raised, worried about, cheered for, and watched grow into the person standing at the altar.

No matter how old they are, they’ll always be your little boy or little girl.

Here’s to all the moms and dads who have watched their sons and daughters begin a brand-new chapter right here at Virginia’s House. What a privilege it has been to witness those moments.

It’s HOT in the desert, and honestly… our plants are just trying to hang on. So are we.

We’re keeping regular office hours and are happy to answer calls, emails, and schedule tours—but go easy on us if the gardens aren’t looking quite as magical as usual.

We promise, this is just our summer look.

Cooler days, green grass, happy flowers, and beautiful gardens will be back before we know it.
