Wedding Planning, Ceremony/Reception Space Planning, Creative Collaboration, Rehearsal & Event Day Coordination (including schedule creation, vendor referral, coordination & vendor management, and setup & breakdown) by Wisegirl Weddings. I try not to pick favorites, but when I met with Kaitlyn at our consult, I just knew her and Paul’s wedding would be one I’d swoon over forever. I’m lucky to live vicariously through all my bride’s and their wedding day designs and it’s especially fun when their style and design choices are right on par with my own! Kaitlyn and Paul had chosen The Paseo as their venue, which is a modernized barn in a desert oasis, not far from town, but secluded enough that makes you forget about the hustle and bustle when your so close to the lovely Superstition mountains. The desert landscape set the tone for their design choices, with the warm tones of pink and copper and cool shades of sage and dusty blues which were woven in through the fabrics of the wedding party attire as well as the tablescapes and custom signage. The modern desert vibes continued through the décor with the use of citrus (one of the 5 C’s that Arizona is known for). And even down to the custom party favors of personally bottled water made from the Sonoran Desert air, which was produced using Zero Mass Water panels, the company that the bride works for, which uses a type of solar panel that turns sun and air into water – how amazing is that?! Romantic but modern textures layered the blank canvas of reception space accented with personalized touches, such as copper elements that Kaitlyn brought in after countless thrift store finds as well as custom-made copper flowers that were incorporated throughout the florist’s breathtaking creations of bouquets, arrangements, and centerpieces. Paul and Kaitlyn decided to forgo the traditional wedding cake in lieu of a mouth-watering table display worthy of fulfilling any donut-lovers’ dreams. And finally, besides the lovefest that went on between the bride and groom, family and friends and their wedding party, including the adorable flower girls, my favorite part of their wedding was their pup, Gordon! Such a sweet and well-behaved gentleman, who walked down the aisle as part of the wedding party, with a custom floral leash and even made an appearance later in the evening on the dancefloor with dad – cutest thing ever! I’m so proud to have been a part of the Fitz-Allen’s amazing wedding, congratulations, Kaitlyn & Paul!!
