So hard to organize words right now. Chinga la migra. We will scream it from the rooftops. We would not be the country we are without immigrants. We stole people and land and called them ours. For the people in the back, NO ONE IS ILLEGAL ON STOLEN LAND.

We stand with our friends and neighbors in saying ALL ARE WELCOME HERE. We will not back down. Hate has so home here. The fear and chaos is unacceptable. I.C.E. is what happens when you give insurrectionists a gun and a badge and a bonus and tell them they are important. It also happens when you have a megalomaniac in office. Votes have consequences and we are unfortunately seeing them play out in real time.

To do our part, our doors will be closed tomorrow, 1/30. We will remain open for calls to place orders, as we are a small business and depend on our weekly subscriptions and busy weekends. The website will be off for orders and we will not ring any charges in until Saturday. We will be donating 20% of sales in support of efforts to help our neighbors and communities affected by such cowardly actions. Thank you to those of you already being the helpers. We see you and love and respect you so much.

To those of you who are new here or who are realizing that things you bought into are not true, we welcome you. For those of you who need a safe space to feel seen and understood, we are here. And if anyone needs a safe place to organize, we have plenty. Need hands? Feet on the ground? We have ‘em.

Be kind. Do good. Check on your neighbors and fight the good fight.

We’re still into you!!
You got things to do and so do we! Since the earth will be freezing over on Friday and Saturday, the shop will be closed because, just no. We are delivering all day today and have some gorgeous blooms to thaw your frozen hearts. May the odds be forever in your favor while we live out “The Day After Tomorrow.” Good thing we know how it ends.

Woah!! Thankful is always an understatement. Mad love to all of you who support us in so many ways! We are a ! We don’t have a marketing team or 20 people on the roster. We do it ALL. All 6 of us. And we couldn’t without all of you. From the bottom of our flower slingin’ hearts, we love you and we are eternally grateful that you allow us to be a part of your celebrations! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Back to our regularly scheduled holiday’ing on Tuesday!!

In all my wildest dreams, I never imagined that this Little Shop of Florals would get to team up with and scream our pride from the rooftops. Literally. To be a beacon of hope. To be the pin. The bracelet. The flag. The nod. The smile. The hug. Your super cool aunts that listen and won’t judge you. That sneak you out when you’re in trouble. The ones that got you in trouble. That give advice you actually want because they have lived it. Like, sooooooo much of it. To be your shoulder. Your muscle. You bouncer. The terminator of souls who dare try to dim your sparkle.

You see, this is an business. We have seen our friends struggle and fight so hard. We have been to the marches. Seen the hate. We have also seen the pride billow out of Chicago for a lifetime. The tears. The love. The community. And we do this because you are ours. To let the trans kids know that they are not alone. To the teenagers that feel different and can’t name it, we see you. The they/thems. For the people. ALL THE PEOPLE. IN ALL THE WAYS. “Cuz, baby you were born this way.”

We see you. We love you. We want to celebrate you! ALL of you! And on June 18th, we will do just that. THE ‘LOONS ARE COMING! This year will hit a little different without Tommy DeLorenzo. But we will be screaming up our biggest thank yous to Tommy, as we cover the shop with balloons again!

If you’re still with us, tag some of your favorite LGBTQ plus businesses and organizations! We want to make sure we spread the love around this year and we will be choose three organizations to make donations to! If we pick yours, you will be entered to win arrangement from us! We will be giving out 3! Pick ups only. And make sure you tag us in all your photos for your chance to win your own!

We would be remiss not to mention we will also be making a donation on Juneteenth to Brave Space Alliance. The work they do is so important.
