Bourbon Barrel Flower Farm

Wedding #2 of the year was such a beautiful day! 🤍 I’m always so busy making sure everything is perfect that I completely forget to take pictures. 😂

I did manage to get this shot of a2 Katarina, one of the varieties we used in the bouquets. She’s extra special because she was hybridized by TreeTown HomeStead right here in Ann Arbor! 🌸

Congratulation to Shannon Watson, who's photo placed first at the ADS National Dahlia Show for best picture in the "Sunrise or Sunset in the garden" categories as judged by a panel of professional photographers.

🌸 2026 National Show 🌸

This season has been ROUGH. We were still able to get a quite few blooms out to Fredrick Meijer Gardens though. We had such a great time at the show and added so many varieties to our wish list. 😂

The best part of the show was winning first place in one of the photography sections!

This season will be an interesting one because we’re moving… eventually.

We unexpectedly bought a new house!

We’re quite overwhelmed with how much there is to do, but super excited for all the extra space we’ll have for flowers. Perfect timing as I have 2 full racks of plants that need to get in the ground and tons of dahlias that I started from seed waiting to be planted.

Current dahlia seedling count: 320

Picture is a 2025 seedling that did not make the cut

A few garden pictures from the 2025 season. 🩷

Now, onto 2026 planning - dahlia numbers have already doubled and I’ve added so many new seed varieties 🌸
