Over the past few days, our home took an unexpected hit when our basement flooded with sewage water. In a matter of hours, we lost almost everything down there — years of memories, supplies and pieces of everyday life.
But through it all, one thing has remained so clear: we are incredibly, deeply grateful.
Grateful that no one was hurt.
Grateful that we still have a safe home above it all.
Grateful for the chance to rebuild and create a fresh start in our basement — even if it’s not the way we would have chosen.
We’ve been surrounded by the kindest, most selfless support. To the people who showed up and worked tirelessly to help with the clean out ( )— we truly could not have done it without you. To our insurance company for helping guide us through the process and to our family and friends who have checked in, offered help and lifted us up — thank you. Every message, every call, every gesture has meant more than we can say.
This has been overwhelming, exhausting and emotional…but it’s also been a reminder of how much good surrounds us.
We’ll be taking things one step at a time as we rebuild — and we’re holding onto gratitude through it all. 🤍
That being said, I’ll be slowing up a bit on the business aspect of life until I can get my workspace rebuilt. If you have a specific project you’d like to chat about, reach out and we can chat on a case by case basis. Thank you for understanding and supporting me!
