Certainly feeling like Spring today! Excited to announce that we are officially open for the Spring season.

Our hours are 9:00-5:00 Wednesday-Sunday. We ask that all customers wear masks, respect social distancing guidelines, and there will be a maximum of 8 people allowed in the greenhouse and sales room at one time.

We will also be taking orders for ivy geranium hanging baskets. They come in three different colors; pink, red, and coral. They are $39.50 each.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Showing off our “Queen of the Night” Cereus (Epiphyllum oxypetalum) which bloomed tonight at approximately 10:05 pm.

This beautful plant is a variety of climbing cactus that looks almost dead most of the year but blooms only for one night in the summer! It bloomed on this exact day last year according to the time-stamped photos I took on my phone. This year, it bloomed about an hour later but with a higher-quality camera, I was able to take more detailed photos of this beautiful, interesting plant.

The blooms can reach up to one foot in length and smell faintly of vanilla. Some varieties even produce edible fruit!
