7 years of Events by Ayla 💍🤍✨

Standing in the ballroom during one of the largest + most elaborate weddings we’ve ever planned, I couldn’t help but think about everything that led us here.

This year stretched me in ways I never expected. Balancing being a business owner, mom of three, wife + everything in between has taught me that balance isn’t doing everything perfectly. Some seasons simply require more from you than others.

Professionally, I’ve learned that you can plan for every scenario, make sure every. single. detail is going to be perfect + STILL face things completely outside of your control (wind + power outages, IYKYK 😅🫠) Those moments have made me more adaptable, a stronger leader + reminded me that character is defined by how you respond when things don’t go as planned.

Through it all, Amanda has been right by my side. There isn’t a wedding she won’t give 110% to. She notices the little things before anyone else does, jumps in wherever she’s needed, keeps me laughing during stressful moments + cares about our couples as if they were her own.

I’m also so grateful for the vendor relationships that have turned into genuine friendships over these eight years. Loyalty + integrity mean everything, and this Alaska wedding industry is so much more than beautiful weddings - it’s the people you build alongside 🫶🏼

To my incredible interns, thank you for showing up + working so hard this summer! I’m SO excited to see where your journeys take you!

And a hugeeee shoutout also goes to my village. My parents have spent countless weekends watching the boys so I could travel across Alaska for weddings. Our amazing neighbor has consistently taken the kids a few days each week this summer so I could have uninterrupted work time. And to my husband / super dad Kyle - who has never once hesitated to take time off work, handle bedtime solo, or take over with the boys when I need to jump on a Zoom call, meet with clients, or disappear into wedding week. None of this would be possible without that kind of support 😭

Seven years of growth, friendship, teamwork + beautifully curated weddings. So grateful for everyone who has been part of it!! 🤍💍

Some weddings don’t end when the dance floor clears.

Last summer I had the honor of planning Cory + Jack’s wedding. This summer, they invited my family aboard their fishing charter, and it was one of those moments that reminded me why I love this job so much!!

The friendships, the memories, and getting to watch life continue long after “I do” 🥹🤍
