Fritz came from North Carolina to the mine. He remembered his grandfather telling him stories about being a miner there and wanted to visit. After a long day of adventures he was hungry and thirsty. He found Fireweed Tavern where he met Olga. Olga told him how busy things have gotten. With all the new fairies and gnomes moving in she is having a hard time keeping the place running by herself. She mentioned she could use some help and offered him a job. Fritz decided to stay for awhile and see how things "pan" out. Thank to Clay-D Handcrafted Pottery for sending Fritz.

There must be a trickster up at the creek. Visitors and locals have been finding some strange "nuggets". Oxford in Anchorage has confirmed the ones in the second photo are mostly copper with some brass. If you have found a "nugget" in the past few weeks and are unsure of it's authenticity, have it checked by an expert.

We have filled the Gift Shop with art from our staff this year. Kate has many Christmas ornaments to choose from. Lily has some Burrows, painted shovels, and scarves. Lisa has hats of all sizes. Karen has her crochet stuffies. We are open until September 15th. Swing by and do some early Christmas shopping.
