Or do you remember a time as a child that you with out a doubt thought that you were smack dab in the middle of a fairy tale? For me it all started when I was a little girl. My mother raised me in the church my grandfath
er built. From as young as I can remember, when anyone in the congregation got engaged they went to my mom! I'd watch her and help her make dresses, bouquets, and cakes for these weddings just for the fun of it. The first wedding I really remember being at they played Disney songs during the procession and recession. And I remember thinking "THIS IS A FAIRY TALE!!!" Since then I have always loved weddings. And like my mom I have always offered to help out with them just for the joy of it. Fast forward just a "few" more years, I have been involved in a wedding in any way you can think of. I have not only been a bridesmaid on many occasions, but I have also been a groomswoman and rocked the socks off that wedding in my stilettos and full tuxedo. I've taken the pictures, played the music, made the bouquets, set up the dance floor, been an usher/greeter & hot glued items for my brides until my fingers bled. It manifested into a love of a combination of some of my favorite things: planning and coordinating; decorating and organizing; and most importantly having a good time! I have thrown bridal showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties, baby showers, surprise parties, going away parties, and the list goes on! While simultaneously planning my own wedding and helping my sister plan hers for the same summer, I realized two things: "I'm really good at this." & "I really love this, even in the most stressful moments that have presented themselves planning two weddings this year, I LOVE it." I continued to help with more weddings and spent a LOT of my free time reading and researching and learning everything and anything about weddings from "what's hot" to timelines, budgets, & etiquette. Finally, we are in the present. My husband(let's call him Knight in Shining Armor just for fun!) and some of my closest family shook me just a little, looked me in the face, and told me I needed to stop day dreaming about wedding planning and live it! Crown Wedding Services was born. And they lived happily ever after! Here's to day dreaming and wedding planning!
