This National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the entire Germantown American Legion Post 325 Family proudly stands together.

🎀 We HONOR the survivors.
🎀 We REMEMBER those we have lost.
🎀 We SUPPORT those fighting today.
🎀 We STAND WITH the families and caregivers walking beside them.

Our Legion Family knows the strength that comes from standing shoulder to shoulder. This October, we add PINK to our RED, WHITE & BLUE in support of everyone affected by breast cancer.

Let’s pause and salute all of the VFW Post, especially those in our local area for everything they do for our country.

Today is VFW Day, a day to recognize the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States (VFW) and the veterans who make up its membership.

It commemorates the VFW’s founding roots, which date to 1899, when veterans of overseas conflicts began organizing to advocate for veterans’ rights and benefits. Those early organizations eventually united as what became the VFW.

We have different histories, different traditions but the same heart for service! ❤️🤍💙

Today, Germantown American Legion Post 325 honors the mothers and families of our nation’s fallen heroes.

Their loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country, and their families carry that sacrifice with them every day.

Here in our own community, we especially recognize and honor our Gold Star Wives, Larissa Melton Kampwerth and Anita Brandmeyer. We are grateful for their strength and the sacrifices they and their families have endured.

To Larissa, Anita, and all Gold Star Mothers and Families: we remember, we honor, and we stand with you. 💛

May we never forget the heroes they love and the sacrifices they have made for our freedom. 🇺🇸

Germantown American Legion Post 325 Salutes the United States Air Force! ✈️🇺🇸

On September 18, 1947, the United States Air Force became an independent branch of our Armed Forces. Today, we proudly recognize its birthday and the Airmen who have served our country with honor, courage, and dedication.

As Legionnaires and fellow veterans, we understand the meaning of service—the oath taken, the sacrifices made, the time away from family, and the bond shared by those who have worn our nation’s uniform.

To our Air Force veterans, those currently serving, and the families who stand beside them: Post 325 salutes you and thanks you for your service.

Today, we honor the signing of the U.S. Constitution and celebrate the rights, responsibilities, and freedoms that unite us as Americans.

Constitution Day & Citizenship Day is also a reminder that citizenship is more than a status—it’s an opportunity to participate, stay informed, serve our communities, and help shape our nation’s future.
