The members of Germantown American Legion Post 325 mourn the passing of fellow veteran Wilbert Vincent “Vince” Rolves, a decorated World War II veteran and former prisoner of war who passed away Tuesday.

Vince’s life was a remarkable example of service, sacrifice, courage, and devotion to country.

For those of us in the American Legion, Vince represented something especially meaningful. He was a living connection to a generation that answered our nation’s call under extraordinary circumstances — and then came home and quietly helped build the communities we enjoy today.

Germantown American Legion Post 325 proudly salutes Sgt Vince Rolves and extends our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

His service will be remembered.
His sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Rest easy, Vince. Your duty is done.

HONORING OUR CLINTON COUNTY VETERANS ~ ONE FLAG, ONE COUNTRY!

The Germantown American Legion sends our very best wishes to all Clinton County veterans who have taken or will be taking an Honor Flight this year. What a well-deserved opportunity to honor your service, sacrifice, and commitment to our country.

A special THANK YOU to Carl Huels and everyone at Standin’ Proud Veterans Tribute Museum for honoring our veterans and for your continued dedication and support of the veterans throughout Clinton County. Your efforts to make sure their service is remembered and recognized are greatly appreciated.

Let’s show these veterans what Clinton County is all about tomorrow!

🇺🇸 LINE THE STREETS. WAVE THE AMERICAN FLAG. CHEER THEM ON. 🇺🇸

It’s going to be HOT outside, so plan accordingly, bring some water and find a safe spot along the route — but let’s give these veterans a show of support they won’t forget!

To every Clinton County veteran who has taken an Honor Flight and those preparing for their journey: we salute you, we thank you, and we are proud to honor you.

🇺🇸 COME CELEBRATE OUR VETERANS! 🇺🇸

Join us Monday, August 31 for a special Veterans Celebration Day honoring those who have taken—or will be taking—an Honor Flight in 2026. ✈️ A short program begins at 11:00 AM and is open to the public.

❤️🤍💙 Then help us send them off! Veterans depart the museum around 12:45 PM, traveling through Carlyle, Beckemeyer, Breese, Aviston, and Trenton. Line the streets, wave your flags, bring your family, and cheer them on
