Some weddings just live differently in your heart, and this was one of them 💜

The couple met in the thick of demanding careers — both doctors, both giving everything to their patients. When it came time to plan their wedding, they leaned on the advice of a past PDP bride who worked alongside them at the hospital, and that trust carried straight through to us.

This was full planning from day one — rehearsal dinner, wedding day, reception, even their Sunday morning send-off breakfast. They were busy saving lives, so they handed us the reins completely. At our venue walkthrough, the groom said it best: “I want a nice ceremony and a kick ass party for the reception.” Challenge accepted.

We hand-picked every vendor to match who they are, set the room with a plated dinner and open bar, and kept that dance floor packed all night. Getting to be trusted with every detail of a day this important is not something we take lightly — this one was truly special.

Korin and Shyra’s wedding day was pure magic ✨ From Shyra’s quiet moment with her mom while putting on her veil, to their sparkler exit surrounded by the people who love them most — every detail was soaked in love, warmth, and joy 💜

This one holds a special place for us because it was a growth moment for our team. Jordan sat in on several planning meetings with this beautiful bride, learning the ins and outs of what it takes to bring a wedding day to life — and then she stepped up as lead coordinator and executed it flawlessly. Watching her grow into that role has been one of the best parts of this season at Purple Door Planning. So proud of you, Jordan 👏🏽

She wanted to be barefoot on her wedding day — and thanks to The Barefoot Bride, she was. 👣💜

Mother Nature had other plans for their outdoor ceremony, but the rain couldn’t rain on this day. We moved the ceremony inside and it turned out even more beautiful than we imagined — cello music setting the tone, a cake as delicious as it was stunning, and a band that kept the party going all night. Every detail of the florals and decor came together perfectly, and the joy from family and the wedding party said it all.

Proof that a little rain can’t stop a perfect day. 💜

I don’t usually get emotional about awards, but this one’s hitting different. 🥹

Purple Door Planning is nominated for Best Event Planner in Best of Memphis 2026 — and we came SO close last year. This year I want to bring it home🤩

Building this business has been one of the hardest, most rewarding things I’ve ever done. And I am so proud of the team behind it — Alexis, Jordan and Ashlei show up with so much heart and excellence, often running events without me even in the room.
