✨ When the backup plan needs a backup plan… ✨
Yesterday afternoon, less than 24 hours before Taylor’s wedding @ Lone Star Oaks, I got the message:
Change of plans — the outdoor ceremony is moving inside.
No problem. That’s wedding life. We pivot. Rain happens.
Except… the beautiful two-piece floral swag I had created specifically for the venue’s outdoor wooden arch suddenly had nowhere to go. The wooden structure wouldn’t fit inside the chapel, which meant the ceremony design we had planned no longer worked.
So we came up with options — urns, a different arch setup, or tall floral pillars — and Taylor chose the pillars.
And last night, I went back to the studio, completely dismantled the original swag florals and rebuilt them into two tall, dramatic floral columns designed specifically for the indoor ceremony space.
Today we walked in, installed everything, and you would never know this wasn’t the plan all along. ❤️
That is one of my favorite parts of full-service floral design.
It isn’t just about creating beautiful flowers months in advance. It’s being there when the weather changes. When the floor plan changes. When something suddenly doesn’t fit. When Plan A disappears and Plan B needs to happen right now.
My bride didn’t have to figure it out.
She didn’t have to move flowers.
She didn’t have to find another solution the night before her wedding.
We handled it.
And later tonight, we’ll be back to move and repurpose her ceremony florals into the reception, because that’s part of the service too.
Taylor’s reception is beautifully simple and warm — terracotta runners, layered greenery, wooden lanterns, candlelight and little touches of burgundy, rust and ivory throughout.
This is what I mean when I say Lavish is full service.
Beautiful florals are the fun part.
Making sure my couples don’t have to worry about them is the really important part. 🤎
