We enjoy helping teams and causes. But it's a full circle. If there is no business going in, free stuff is hard to give out.
Keep that in mind when you ask anyone for donations.
Most of us are not telling you no to spite you, it's because we can only offer so much Free stuff or we won't be in business anymore.

💬 Let’s talk about donation requests.

Fundraising and charity work are really important. This post isn’t about being negative or unsupportive. But if you’re messaging a small business asking for something for free, it’s worth stopping to think:

🧁 Have you ever supported that business?

Support doesn’t always mean placing an order (although that’s always appreciated!). It could be:
👏🏻Liking or commenting on their posts
👏🏻Sharing their page with your friends
👏🏻Leaving a kind review
👏🏻Recommending them when someone’s looking
👏🏻Tagging them in local posts or opportunities

Like many small business owners, I get loads of messages asking for donations. I’d guess that 90% of them come from people I’ve never heard of - people who’ve never supported my business in any way. I know this from order history and who liking the page.

This isn’t a moan. It’s just a reminder that small businesses can only give when they’re being supported too. Community is a two-way thing. e
